Dave’s 12 week Parenting Course was hugely popular.
This course was developed in 2012 and is still very relevant today. A bargain at R2400.00 for all 12 modules which includes slides, notes for Support Group Leaders and group members, and supplementary audio and video clips and documents. The entire course is easily downloaded once payment has been received.
Groups of up to 8 parents (usually the Moms) met once a week for 1 to 2 hours per module. Each group had a Support Group Leader.
It was good to have a safe space to share the challenges of raising ADHD children, without being judged. Many parents also began to understand their own ADHD or a partner who had the condition.
Sometimes it took up to 6 months to complete the course but it was never a problem. When LIFE got in the way, when parents forgot or sometimes a parent couldn’t face being nice, the meeting was postponed, or the parent could self study and have a one on one where necessary.

Week 7 - The role of the family in ADHD - Part 1
Week 8 - The role of the family in ADHD - Part 2
Week 9 - Attitude!
Week 10 - Failing for Success
Week 11 - Communication
Week 12 - Creating Consistent Structure
Each module has the following:
- A slide show with the main points.
- Support Group Leader Notes
- Handouts for the group members
- Supplementary documents /audio /short video clips providing additional tools and information.
